| Norbrew - Northern Beers with Northern Soul |
| Having established Northern Brewing in August 2003, its founder Col Stubbs spent the next few months acquiring the brew plant and associated equipment, premises and a delivery vehicle. All duly found, the brew plant was installed in an industrial unit in Runcorn, Cheshire, which was to be Northern’s home for the next two years. The first ever brew, a Northern “45”, appeared in late-December 2003. Col had spent much of 2003 acquiring knowledge in both the technical and commercial aspects of the micro-brewing business at the now defunct Beecham's Brewery, which was then part of St. Helens College. |

| Riverside Soul Club |
| Mike Eskins started Riverside Soul in November 2006 and went under the banner of 'Soul at the Riverside'. I am independent of the club management in the running and format of my soul nights. It was the most suitable premises that I could find at the time. Because of the possibility of moving onto other premises either, as well as, or for one off events, I have since changed the name. This is to enable me to be mobile and to being seen as Independent of the Riverside sports complex, which is situated in St. Oswalds Road, Gloucester.
Our music policy is 'Across the Board' with Northern, of course, playing a big part. The guest DJ is normally what I term as a 'premier player' and on the national scene. In 2008 I have so far lined up: Sean Chapman, Nige Brown, Nick Borst(Cleethorpes), Pete Stone(Rotherham), Sammy Dee, Steve LLoyd, Jerry Hipkiss, and of course, we have Des Parker as one of the resident DJ's.
